Communities That Care is an evidence-based prevention model that promotes healthy youth development, improves outcomes and reduces behavioral problems. Through Social Development Strategy, CTC fosters success by providing young people opportunities, skills, and recognition. The locally owned and operated program is driven by data from the community and reduces risk-taking behavior in adolescents.

Activity Events

SCYC and CTC have been working together to promote healthy youth development within Montezuma County. SCYC sits on the CTC Steering Committee and actively participates in the coalition. The newest project is a county-wide youth calendar that details all youth activities hosted by various organizations. The calendar is led and managed by a youth member of our community.
