Empowering the youth of Montezuma County
School Community Youth Collaborative was established in 1999 as a not-for-profit organization in Cortez, CO.
SCYC supports youth on their path to healthy adulthood
SCYC coordinates a middle school program: Botvin LifeSkills, a high school program: Youth Leadership Council, 21st Century Community Learning Center programming at both Southwest Open School and Montezuma-Cortez High School, two trainings: Youth-Adult Partnership & Positive Youth Development, as well as a Gear Lending Library.
SCYC strives to serve all youth in Montezuma and Dolores counties, helping them learn the skills needed to become happy, thriving adults.
All youth are valued and thriving members of our community.
